I don't want to get taller

I don't want bigger feet

I don't want to drive 

I don't want money 

I don't want to drink wine 

I don't want to get tired easily 

I want to keep my tiny toes that can never find a comfortable shoe 

I want to drag a chair over so I can reach my favorite mug 

I want to run to my friends house and complain how much my legs hurt 

Bruises all over my shins 

I want to play pretend 

I'm a super hero 

Flying instead of driving 

I'm a butterfly 

Drinking a sweet nectarine 

I'm a cloud 

Hanging higher than anyone ever could grow 

I am the Pacific Ocean 

Carrying boats from America to China 

My hands are claws pinching sea shells washed up on shore 

Excited over the different colors and shapes or finding a slimy creature inside 

Order grilled cheese off the kids menu 

I wear dirty clothes and jump in big puddles 

Drawing rainbows in the mud after a thunder storm 

No worries 

No regrets 

Just dreaming

 •breakables one beat after another  it bangs in my chest  like a drum without a sound  without a bass without a rhythm  i’m the only one who can feel it’s aching thunder  like something trying to burst through the skin  who is behind the sticks? I really will never know  no cymbals no shells but i know the feeling of this drum  it doesn’t stop until the song ends  and it’s only the beginning
